Every year, South Carolina head coach/red-faced he-man Steve Spurrier allows a reporter from The State newspaper to join him in his dojo for a session of intense training and spiritual introspection.
Or, more simply put, the two men get really sweaty and take their shirts off on camera.
It’s a time-honored tradition, and this year, The State’s Josh Kendall (h/t LostLettermen.com) took up the torch as Spurrier’s lifting buddy/pain canvas.
Kendall posted video of him going through the workout with the nearly 70-year-old coach. At 41 years of age, Kendall writes that he still found himself lagging behind Spurrier, who lifted in a V-neck sweater vest.
