John Scott Jr. got a taste of life in the NFL.
The new South Carolina defensive line coach had coached for an option team (Georgia Southern), and Air Raid team (Texas Tech) and then made the jump to spend two seasons under a strong defensive mind in Todd Bowles with the New York Jets.
Since then, he had two years with Arkansas, and it informed a particular philosophy.
“I say all the time, it’s the AFC, the NFC and the SEC,” Scott said. “You better have some depth.”
