Alaina Coates and the Lady Gamecocks block Winthrop en route to a 49 point victory.
A'ja Wilson wasn't available, but that didn't seem to phase the #2 Lady Gamecocks as they outright dominated the Winthrop Eagles Sunday afternoon in Colonial Life Arena to a 86-37 victory.
The Lady Gamecocks came out running to outscore the Lady Eagles 26-7 in the first quarter and just didn't look back thanks to a 14-0 run. Dawn Staley's women took a 47-13 lead into halftime before taking the peddle off the gas in the second half.
Without sophomore stud Wilson in the lineup as she took the day off due to doctor's orders, junior Alaina Coates dominated the stat sheet.
