The Gamecocks yet again struggled at the plate on Tuesday night, losing to The Citadel in the ninth inning.

The Bulldogs took an early lead, going up 1-0 in the first inning. That lead was short-lived though, as South Carolina tied the game in the bottom of the inning. Noah Campbell and TJ Hopkins walked to start things off, and an error eventually got Campbell home.

The tie was broken in the bottom of the second inning, as the Gamecocks took their first lead of the game. With one out, Carlos Cortes doubled, Hunter Taylor singled, and Campbell came through with a sac fly that got Cortes home and made the score 2-1.
