After an up and down performance against Arkansas over the weekend, South Carolina used a series of home runs to bounce back with a victory on Tuesday night, despite a late-game rally by The Citadel
The Gamecocks got on the board early, taking a 2-0 lead in the second when Wes Clarke walked to start things off and Braylen Wimmer went yard with one out. USC broke things open in the fourth, tacking on four more runs. Clarke singled to lead off, then with two outs, Brennan Milone doubled, George Callil knocked a base hit, and Noah Myers blasted a grand slam - his first career homer at Carolina - to make the score 6-0.
