South Carolina vs. North Carolina game recap: Gamecocks fall to Heels 3-2 in extras

South Carolina’s winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night in Charlotte, as they lost to North Carolina in a game that required 10 innings.

Each team scored in the first, with the Tar Heels going up 1-0 in the top of the inning on a Justice Thompson RBI single. The Cocks answered in the bottom of the inning when Brady Allen took a leadoff walk and later scored on an RBI sac fly by Wes Clarke that tied the game.

The 1-1 score held until the sixth inning, when both teams scored again. In the top of the inning, UNC took a 2-1 lead on an RBI groundout by Hunter Stokely.
