The trend no one asked for - South Carolina playing poorly and losing the first game of an SEC series - continued on Thursday night, as Arkansas rallied late and the Gamecocks had no answer.
The Razorbacks got on the board first, taking a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo shot by Robert Moore. That score held until the fourth, when Andrew Eyster walked to start things off and Colin Burgess knocked a one-out RBI double to bring him home, tying the game.
Arkansas regained the lead for good in the seventh thanks to a two-run homer from Moore that made the score 3-1.
