Though the offensive output was far lower on Tuesday night than it was this weekend, South Carolina racked up its fourth win in a row with a victory over Appalachian State.
The Gamecocks got on the board early, going up 1-0 in the first inning on a two-out solo shot from Wes Clarke. The only other run of the game came in the fifth, when Joe Sattefield doubled to lead off and later scored on a sac fly by Brady Allen.
USC starter CJ Weins pitched four innings of no-hit, scoreless baseball, walking two batters and striking six out.
