After exploding offensively on Saturday, the Gamecocks put together another lackluster offensive performance in Sunday’s rubber game against the No. 2 Gators.
Florida took an early lead, going up 1-0 on a leadoff home run to start the game. The Gators scored their only other two runs of the game in the fourth inning, thanks to another homer and a sac fly that put them up 3-0.
South Carolina ended the shutout in the bottom of the fourth. Jonah Bride was hit by a pitch to start things off, Carlos Cortes walked, and Danny Blair came through with an RBI single that made the score 3-1.
