South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley is confident in his team’s chances entering the 2017 season.
“I think we are capable of anything,” Bentley told The State newspaper while serving as a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy. “Our goals are to beat the (SEC) East and win the state. That’s what it is every year, that’s what it’s always going to be, and I think we are definitely capable of that.”
Bentley took over as the team’s starting quarterback in Game 7 last season as a true freshman. He led the Gamecocks to a 4-3 record and South Carolina finished 6-7 overall and 3-5 in the SEC.
