University President Bob Caslen sent a letter to students detailing plans for the South Carolina campus to re-open for the Fall semester. Students are set to return in mid-August, though online options will still be available for those that feel more comfortable studying remotely. Campus has been closed since March due to the Coronavirus.
The letter calls for changes to dining options, more single-person dorm occupancy, and social distancing practices in classrooms and at sporting events. There will also be testing on campus for students, faculty, and staff.
These last few months have been anything but normal, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.
