The Gamecocks are 27-19 (11-13 SEC) after losing yet another SEC series last weekend, this time on the road at LSU. Once again Carolina was right there with their opponent, had a chance to win the deciding game of the series, and found a gut-wrenching way to lose. Now the Gamecocks have the toughest part of their schedule behind them, but are in danger of missing the NCAA Tournament if they have any more missteps. One positive about this season is that, with the exception of a February game against Kansas State and the UNC game, the Gamecocks have not struggled to beat their midweek opponents.
