The South Carolina football team will see another player continue his college football career outside of Columbia. Sophomore Boosie Whitlow, a product of Opelika High School in Alabama (the same school as Jake Bentley), announced on Twitter that he is transferring.
Whitlow (real first name Quandeski, but has gone by Boosie ever since his grandmother gave him the nickname at five years old) appeared in three games as a freshman in 2015, registering 14 tackles and 5.0 TFLs. He didn’t see the field at all in 2016 as JUCO transfer Marquavius Lewis, Darius English and Dante Sawyer headlined the rotation at end this past season.
