South Carolina Basketball: Sindarius Thornwell signs NBA deal

Former South Carolina basketball star Sinduarius Thornwell has signed with the New Orleans Pelicans as a substitute player.

On Monday, the New Orleans Pelicans announced the signing of former Gamecock great Sindarius Thornwell. Thornwell will be added as a substitute player for the remainder of the ’19-’20 season.

After being drafted in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, he was immediately traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. In LA, he averaged 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest over two seasons.
