South Carolina basketball had a season to forget in Lamont Paris’ first year at the helm. The Gamecocks tied a program record for most losses in a season (21), were one-and-done in the SEC Tournament, and had off-the-court drama that centered around their head coach and best player.
The good news for South Carolina basketball fans is that the 2023-2024 version of the CourtCocks will look almost unrecognizable from the prior year. Seven players from last year’s team are gone, and other than big man Josh Gray, guards Meechie Johnson and Jacobi Wright, and wing Zachary Davis, the rest of the expected rotation players will be new faces.
