One day after getting no-hit and having just one (1) base runner, South Carolina bounced back with a win over Vanderbilt in the third game of the series, avoiding a sweep and ending the losing streak after six games.
The Commodores took an early lead, going up 3-0 in the first inning, when Enrique Bradfield Jr. scored on a fielder’s choice and CJ Rodriguez hit a two-run homer. Vandy added another run in the third inning on a Rodriguez single that made the score 4-0.
The Gamecocks broke the shutout in the top of the fourth inning, when Brady Allen and Braylen Wimmer hit back-to-back solo shots to make it a 4-2 game.
