Rain on Friday night forced a doubleheader of seven-inning games on Saturday, and the Gamecocks looked pretty lackluster for the majority of the first game, until a late burst of offense propelled them to a win and a rubber game later in the afternoon.
LSU got on the board in the first on a Cade Doughty RBI double that made it a 1-0 game, then they added another run in the next inning thanks to a Zach Arnold sac fly that bumped the score to 2-0.
That held all the way until the seventh, when South Carolina finally ended the shutout.
