South Carolina got behind early on Tuesday night against Appalachian State, but the Gamecocks rallied for a come-from-behind 9-6 win on the road in Charlotte.
The Mountaineers took a 4-0 lead in the first inning on a grand slam by Hunter Bryson. They added another run on a sac fly by Hayden Cross in the third, making it 5-0 before USC ended the shutout in the next inning. With one out, Braylen Wimmer singled, then came home on a double by Andrew Eyster to make it a 5-1 game. They had a chance to make it closer, but instead left the bases loaded.
