South Carolina again struggles late, falls to No. 14 Texas Tech

After Saturday’s 70-63 loss to No. 14 Texas Tech, South Carolina has split its last four games against Top 25 opponents.

The wins came when the Gamecocks executed down the stretch. The losses came when USC (13-8) wilted in the game’s biggest moments.

The Red Raiders, looking like Tennessee did last Saturday, took the life out of a raucous Colonial Life Arena when it mattered most. Texas Tech (17-4) outscored USC 17-5 over the final 6:17.

After Wes Myers missed consecutive free throws with 2:28 remaining, the Red Raiders’ Keenan Evans hit a 3 to put TTU up 62-61.
