Moore had two key interceptions in South Carolina's victory over North Carolina
The SEC released the week one Players of the Week and South Carolina's junior linebacker Skai Moore was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Moore had an outstanding game against the Tar Heels on Thursday, leading the team with ten tackles and coming up with two huge end zone interceptions. Moore's performance, the two interceptions in particular, were a key part of South Carolina's 17-13 victory over North Carolina to open the season.
The first interception came early and ended North Carolina's first drive of the game:
The second interception came with under four minutes left and kept North Carolina from taking a late lead:
Moore has led the Gamecocks in tackles each of the last two seasons and was expected to be a leader and a playmaker for the defense this season, so it's great to see him immediately living up to those roles.
