Frank Booker, dribbling in what appeared to be the final minute of his final home game at South Carolina, fell into LSU’s trap. His turnover temporarily put a blemish on what was a fitting Senior Night for the graduate transfer.
Booker’s 25 points didn’t matter when the Tigers’ Tremont Waters turned Booker’s mistake into a deadly, game-tying 3-pointer at the end of regulation.
South Carolina had to hang on to beat LSU, 83-74, in overtime Wednesday, allowing Booker a sigh of relief.
His performance got its proper ending after all.
