The SEC league office named its players of the week Monday, and a Gamecock made the cut for the first time in a few weeks.
OFFENSE: RB Kerryon Johnson, Auburn: Johnson racked up 204 yards with three touchdowns on 28 carries in the Tigers’ domination of Ole Miss. He leads the league with 122.7 yards per game and 11 rushing touchdowns, but has continued to be a somewhat underrated player from where I’m standing.
DEFENSE: DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama, and LB Devin White, LSU: Fitzpatrick was all over the field for the Crimson Tide in its win against Texas A&M.
