SEC Preview: Is Muschamp factor enough to return Auburn to the top?

COLUMBIA — Leave it to South Carolina to potentially swing the balance of power in the most rugged division in college football.

After all, it was the Gamecocks that hastened the ouster of Will Muschamp, who with back-to-back victories had given himself the tiniest bit of breathing room at Florida before USC came calling in the Swamp. But then Dylan Thompson dashed around left end in overtime to cap an improbable comeback, and less than 24 hours later the Gators were looking for a new head coach.
