COLUMBIA — There’s the junior who topped the depth chart in the spring, and was recruited by almost every major college in the region. There’s the undersized former walk-on who bagged groceries until being placed on scholarship. There’s the dynamic true freshman with the blazing speed who’s already become a favorite among fans.
And then there’s Michael Scarnecchia, the forgotten man in South Carolina’s quarterback competition.
“I guess you could say that,” said the redshirt freshman from Fleming Island, Fla. “But I’m not really worried about the media or anything like that. I know my abilities and I know how hard I’ve worked.
