COLUMBIA — Wide receiver Pharoh Cooper is South Carolina’s leading returning passer. For the first time since 2002, the Gamecocks don’t have a quarterback on the roster that has started a major college football game.
Connor Mitch, the sophomore sort of listed as No. 1 on the depth chart, has thrown for a total of 19 yards.
But the most visible change in the South Carolina program isn’t the switch from Dylan Thompson to fill-in-the-blank. It’s the Bojangles move from that longtime spot across the street from Williams-Brice Stadium to a quarter-mile down Bluff Road.
If only the offensive line can transition as smoothly as biscuit production.
