Just 20 years ago, there were fewer than 18 bowl games, and all but three featured at least one ranked team.
Now we have 40 FBS bowl games, and three include teams with 5-7 records (Minnesota, Nebraska and San Jose State).
Too many?
Nah. Not enough. How about the New Coaches Bowl — South Carolina vs. Virginia — in Key West?
