Three South Carolina players will not return for their final season of eligibility next fall.
Running back David Williams, wide receiver Jamari Smith and defensive back Jasper Sasser are leaving the program, the school announced Wednesday.
“We appreciate their contributions to the program and wish them the best in the future,” Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp said in a statement.
Smith graduated in December, while Williams and Sasser are slated to graduate in May.
All three players were redshirt juniors this season.
NCAA rules allow graduate students to transfer to another FBS program without sitting out a season.
