COLUMBIA — Spring is a time for new beginnings, and South Carolina football is no exception. Head coach Will Muschamp begins to put his stamp on the USC program in earnest over 15 practices which will provide the first glimpse of what this squad might look like in September.
Since the Gamecocks last took the field, in a loss to Clemson which completed their worst campaign in 16 years, leading receiver Pharoh Cooper has left for the NFL. Three senior starters, including Goose Creek native Brandon Shell, have departed from a veteran offensive line. Six early enrollees have joined the program, including a player some view as USC’s quarterback of the future.
