Pharoh Cooper looks like 2nd-day pick in NFL draft

The Gamecocks’ 2015 season saw a coaching change and three different starting quarterbacks. Will Muschamp is taking over as coach, so Cooper was looking at having to learn another offense, and there again are questions about who will be playing quarterback for South Carolina next season. Cooper chose not to wade through another potentially chaotic season and instead decided to turn his attention to the NFL.

He leaves South Carolina with 138 receptions, 2,163 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns in his three seasons. Cooper also had at least one rushing and passing touchdown each season.

While we are early in the draft process and Cooper has the NFL Scouting Combine and his South Carolina pro day, along with countless meetings and interviews, ahead of him, most indications are that he can expect to hear his name called on the second day of the draft, which would make him a second- or third-round pick.
