COLUMBIA — South Carolina offensive lineman Zack Bailey missed the Gamecocks’ scrimmage Saturday night with an injury, but head coach Will Muschamp believes the Summerville High School product will return to the field this week.
Muschamp would not go into specifics about Bailey’s injury, which is reportedly a concussion. USC’s projected starter at left guard, Bailey has been out since Wednesday, when he missed the Gamecocks’ third and final practice open to the public.
“Zack’s going to be fine,” Muschamp said Sunday on a conference call with reporters. He added he expected Bailey to potentially return to practice Tuesday.
