COLUMBIA — Injured South Carolina quarterback Connor Mitch is back at practice, but only as a spectator.
Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier said Mitch, out at least a month due to a separated throwing shoulder and a deep bruise in his left hip, watched the Gamecocks practice Sunday night with his left arm in a sling.
“I’m sure he’s out several more weeks,” Spurrier said Tuesday during his weekly media briefing. “Health-wise, he’s doing well. That bad bruise he had seems to be healing well.”
Mitch initially suffered the bruise in the second quarter of the Sept.
