COLUMBIA — South Carolina’s relatively injury-free preseason camp hit a speed bump Thursday when redshirt freshman wide receiver Shaq Davidson suffered a knee injury which will sideline him indefinitely.
“What the exact extent is and how long he’ll be out, we’ll know as soon as we know,” USC receivers coach Steve Spurrier Jr. said after practice. “It’s unfortunate. He was doing well. But whatever it is, he’ll be back, and we look forward to that.”
Also out Thursday was defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth, who missed all of spring practice with a torn right pectoral muscle suffered while lifting weights.
