On the Beat: Gamecocks linebacker Skai Moore undecided on leaving USC early

COLUMBIA — Pharoh Cooper may be leaving for the NFL, but Skai Moore isn’t following him — at least, not yet.

The junior linebacker said after practice Tuesday he had not yet made a decision on leaving South Carolina a year early, as Cooper will do. Moore is on track to lead the Gamecocks in tackles for a third straight season, and is two tackles from becoming the first USC player to record 100 in a season since Jasper Brinkley in 2006.

“I’ve definitely thought about it, but not too much thought,” Moore said. “I’m going to sit and talk with my family after the season, just take it week by week.
