COLUMBIA — Want to buy Leonard Fournette’s jersey from the South Carolina game? The bidding begins at $7,000.
LSU’s Heisman Trophy hopeful said after the Oct. 10 game against USC that he wanted his jersey from that contest auctioned off to aid flood relief efforts in the Palmetto State. Four weeks later, after navigating rolls of red tape, the auction is at last set — bidding begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and runs through noon Monday. Bids can be placed at LSUauction.net, with the initial price set at $7,000.
Up for bid is a package which includes not only Fournette’s jersey from the Tigers’ 45-24 victory, but also helmets from the contest signed by LSU coach Les Miles and former South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier, the latter of whom resigned three days later.
