COLUMBIA — As a player on a South Carolina defense which missed tackles with alarming frequency last season, reviewing games on film was often an unpleasant experience for linebacker Skai Moore.
“It was pretty rough,” he said. “We didn’t really do well tackling last year, and we saw that every Monday when we watched film. That’s something we’re definitely trying to change this year.”
And the Gamecocks claim they can see the difference in preseason camp, according to co-defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward. “We’ve got a simple scheme, and so far the guys are getting better,” he said Tuesday.
