Monday, Will Putnam took his final school visit to South Carolina, and it was enough for him, as he made his commitment yesterday to the Gamecocks. It was between USC and Virgina Tech and Putnam will be the first offensive lineman commitment for the 2016 class and the 6th commitment overall.
Putnam looked very closely at both schools but the fact that he loved the SEC was a definitely a big part in his decision.
“My big thing was it is SEC football.,” Putnam said. “Like, it doesn’t get any bigger than this. It is just such a great opportunity.
