After a lackluster weekend offensively against Alabama, South Carolina got back on track against The Citadel with a commanding win on Tuesday night.
The Gamecocks got out to an early lead, going up 2-0 in the first inning. TJ Hopkins started things off with a single, Jonah Bride got hit by a pitch, and Matt Williams walked to load the bases. Alex Destino grounded out to get Hopkins home, then Chris Cullen knocked an RBI single to bring Bride in.
South Carolina broke things wide open in the next inning. LT Tolbert led off with a base hit, then came home on a Hopkins double to make the score 3-0.
