It was a tough season for South Carolina, but five Gamecocks nonetheless found their way onto the All-SEC teams as voted on by the league coaches and Associated Press: Running back Kevin Harris, defensive lineman Kingsley Enagbare, defensive back Jaycee Horn, linebacker Mohamed Kaba, and punter Kai Kroeger.
Harris, the SEC’s leading rusher who was famously snubbed earlier in awards season for the Doak Walker finalist list, was also suspiciously left off the coaches’ first team, instead garnering a nod for their second squad. The sophomore was seventh nationally with 1,138 yards, with five 100-yard showings and two 200-plus yard performances en route to scoring 16 total touchdowns — good for third in the SEC.
