In his first game out of rookie ball, this former Gamecock delivered a walk-off win

It didn’t take LT Tolbert long to make an impression with his newest team.

The former South Carolina baseball infielder, who was drafted this June by the Arizona Diamondbacks, debuted for the short-season single-A Hillsboro Hops on Wednesday night after 12 games in rookie ball.

Hitting second and playing shortstop, Tolbert went 0-3 with a walk to start the game, but came up big in the bottom of the 10th inning with his team down 4-3, runners on second and third and two outs. With a single back up the middle, Tolbert plated two runs to give his team the win.
