Injuries have prevented from Connor Shaw reaching his full potential in the NFL, but that hasn’t hurt his confidence as he enters his fourth year in the league.
In 2015 with the Cleveland Browns, the winningest quarterback in South Carolina history a thumb injury in a preseason game and forced him to miss the entire season. Last year with the Chicago Bears, Shaw suffered a broken leg when Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches landed on his planted left foot following a touchdown pass in the third preseason game.
Prior to the injury, Shaw was in contention to back up starter Jay Cutler.
