Over the past few seasons, the Gamecocks have become known for having a dangerous ground game to match a potent passing attack. With guys like Marcus Lattimore and Mike Davis establishing South Carolina as a school that can get running backs to the league, there has not been a talent shortage at the position.
This season seems to be no different as the Gamecocks return three running backs with valuable game experience. Brandon Wilds, David Williams, and Shon Carson will share the carries as the South Carolina coaching staff have moved to a run by committee approach rather than making one guy a workhorse (like Lattimore).
