A change of scenery, and a Big South opponent, brought South Carolina a change of luck Tuesday.
The Gamecocks beat Charleston Southern 10-3 in SRP Park, home of the Augusta GreenJackets, a Class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. It was the first time South Carolina has played in the stadium. The Gamecocks improved to 24-17 and take on Missouri on the road Friday to start a three-game series.
South Carolina freshman Josiah Sightler of Swansea made the third start of his career and got his first hit, a triple that banged off the top of the left field wall.
