The Sweet 16 for the NCAA women’s basketball tournament is almost set, with the vast majority of the spots in the second weekend of March Madness secured Sunday and Monday night.
South Carolina had its opponent locked in Monday night when No. 1 overall seed Baylor routed No. 8 seed California, XX-XX. The Lady Bears and Gamecocks will now play each other on Saturday in Greensboro, North Carolina, with a spot in the Elite Eight on the line. USC and BU played earlier this season, with Baylor winning 94-69.
