South Carolina defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson isn’t looking for any more vocal leaders to emerge for his unit. He has one, and that’s the only one he wants.
“We are looking for guys that follow and we’ve got one voice and everybody is following T.J.’s voice,” Robinson said.
That’s junior middle linebacker T.J. Brunson, who was second on the team last year with 88 tackles. The Gamecocks defensive staff challenged Brunson to be more of a vocal leader this offseason and through the first two practices of spring, he has answered that challenge so well that Robinson wants Brunson and only Brunson to have it.
