Gamecocks commit named Gatorade South Carolina Football Player of the Year

South Carolina football commit Zacch Pickens has already piled up the awards.

The TL Hanna defensive lineman and five-star added a big one Thursday.

Pickens was named the Gatorade South Carolina Football Player of the Year after leading his team to a 14-0 record and a spot in Friday’s state title game. He compiled 82 tackles, 14 for loss, and five sacks, plus 834 yards and 21 touchdowns as a fullback.
