It’s the balance that’s been a bit of a challenge for D.J. Smith.
The former South Carolina football safety has been done with college football for more than a year. He came back to school, recently finished his degree, is finding his way professionally. But there’s still a part of him not ready to give up the game he loves.
“It’s been pretty difficult,” Smith said. “As far as the corporate world, just figuring all of that out has just been a challenge. Football is going to be with me. I’m always going to want to do something with football.
