COLUMBIA — The wins keep coming for South Carolina, and the awards keep piling up for A’ja Wilson.
The Gamecocks’ star on Tuesday earned her third SEC Player of the Week award of the season, this one after scoring a career-high 28 points with 11 rebounds to power second-ranked South Carolina past then-No. 14 Duke. Wilson also won the award last week after averaging 20.6 points in a tournament in Hawaii.
Wilson, a sophomore, leads South Carolina in scoring with an average of 18.4 points per game, in rebounding at 9.3 per contest, in blocks with 25 and in field-goal shooting at 54.
