COLUMBIA — South Carolina needed a big man and a scorer, and the Gamecocks may have added both in this year’s signing class.
Head coach Frank Martin formally announced the addition of three more signees for this coming season, forward Eric Cobb of Jacksonville, Fla., forward Raymond Doby of St. Louis, and guard Jamall Gregory of Washington, D.C. They join two earlier signees in the Gamecocks’ 2015 class, McDonald’s All-American P.J. Dozier of Columbia and forward Chris Silva of Roselle, N.J.
Cobb, 6-10 and 275 pounds, ranked as the No. 21 power forward nationally according to ESPN, and averages 13 points and nine rebounds as a senior at St.
