It's Friday, so let's end the week with some legitimate South Carolina Gamecocks recruiting news...and some not-so-legitimate news.
--Phil Kornblut at SportsTalk reports that 2016 four-star TE Naseir Upshur will indeed visit Carolina this weekend. He will be at Florida State today before stopping by Columbia tomorrow and staying overnight on the way back home to Philadelphia with some of his family members. Upshur, as we and others have reported, was supposed to be committing tomorrow before deciding to hold off until the season's over. Upshur and Gamecocks commit Brandon McIlwain have been in conversation throughout their respective recruiting processes, and the two will undoubtedly be continuing that conversation throughout the weekend.
