The Gamecocks faced off against No. 1 Tennessee for (unfortunately) the first time this season, and after a battle through the first half, came away with a resounding 92-70 defeat. As the nature of the opponent would suggest, it wasn’t a loss worth getting terribly upset about; the Volunteers are just a much deeper and more talented team with a diversity of scoring options. It was good to see Chris Silva continuing his strong play, however, as he led all scorers with 28 points, and Tre Campbell had a nice performance with 14 points.
